- First haircut: no worries. he still has most of his curls and much of his red, just no more Trump comb over.
- First visit to his new school: Today we spent two hours in his classroom where he'll start three days a week on Monday.
- And tonight, his first time using the potty! No joke. He was wet from playing in the pool, so we stripped him down. Just for the heck of it, we put him on the potty seat for the first time and he produced nada. Shorty after he began to streak the house. Then looked at me and ran as fast as he could to the bathroom. Though much of the "effort" was spent on the tile, we eventually got his seated and he did it. Unreal. (Some of you are saying, yeah, unreal. She's wasting my time writing about a kid taking a pee!)
Other than that we're busy and full of parties this weekend. Saturday morning is Rockford's summer reading celebration by the dam. And at night it's ddm's 20th anniversary celebration party at the Blodger's ranch. Promises to be a blast, as well as Ryan's first horse ride. Sunday is the football coaches annual family get together. Can't wait. Hope each of you are having as equally eventful first weekend of August.

Ryan is getting taken for a spin in his new big truck. I swear, he says the phrase "big Truck" 100 times a day. This week he actually shouted out his babysitters name when the same make of her vehicle drove by.

It was Papa's birthday celebration last weekend and Ryan was the best gift helper you could ask for.
Uncle Billy will be thrilled to know that Ryan now has a Police Car to balance out his obsession with fire trucks. The funniest part is that 6 adults played with the car and Ryan turned out the one to discover a secret lever that popped to roof off, not any of us! Check out the wings...this is pre-haircut.
