Spring Break 2012

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

We are officially recovered from our "vacation hangover" having returned last Friday from a week long break in Ft. Myer's Beach, Florida, with my parents, sister, and brother-in-law. We had a great time just relaxing and playing all week long. Ryan clearly is being raised by two beach bums! Flying at 6 months pregnant went well. And I popped yet again midweek, waking up with a new body on Wed morning. The trip started off great with Max scoring a hole in one with his 5 iron. The trip ended on the opposite end of luck as Max lost his ID in the moving walkway at Midway once we arrived home.

I'll let the pics tell the story in between :)

Love from Michigan!,

Ryan got everything in order for our trip, including Cali, a few days before we left.

Ryan, poolside and loving it.

We had lots of great dinners on the beach, and somehow they always ended with a beach play session until way past sunset! The sand was like flour it was so fine.

Two curly tops.

Daddy showing Ryan the ocean for the first time.

Nami bought Ryan squirt guns so they could hit targets off the terrace, six stories up!

Beach-side building!

Ryan's first taste of a daiquiri (alcohol free of course).

Ryan in battle with Uncle E.

This photo cracks me up just due to the shear drama of our expressions. And because I look like a beached Zebra whale.

The Kerry, Monroe, Stevens clan.

Sunset after dinner.

Nami, Papa, and Ryan.

Acting silly.

Papa took Ryan to a train museum and they got to ride the mini-train together.

We caught someone getting creative with the pillows so he could wash his own hands.

Ryan officially fell in love with Auntie K. He would follow behind her everywhere she went, holding her hand when he could and snuggling with her.

Ryan was super on the plane, using Grandpa's Stellar earphones to watch Bob the Builder for the entire flight.

Our favorite friend, Abby, came over to dye Easter eggs with Ryan. Abby is a senior at Northview, but also watches Ryan...plus I get to mentor her.

Ryan was pretty excited about the jelly beans he discovered on our Easter egg hunt after Church.

We got to celebrate my 35th on Easter this year with our friends Nicki, Rob, Lucy and Griffin Damuth. Rob actually was in Florida with my on my 18th birthday too. Time flies.
