This is what 2 looked like!

Little Miss is no longer little. Though the post is a few weeks late, it's still noteworthy in our book. We kept her celebration low key and celebrated with my family, the Elzinga's and Mascari's. It was a also a great way to break in the new patio.

Leading up to her 2nd bday Elise seemed to excel in every way:
- She started to get hair...it started at the cottage and now she actually has some curls (and Ryan's coloring!)
- She's talking all the time. Most of it is somewhat understandable. 
- She's come out of her shell when in public (most of the time) and others are starting to enjoy you elf-ish little smile that we've always seen.
- She is fiercely determined. But as fiery as she is, she's equally sweet and a cuddle bug. We'll just call it passionate and that covers both ends of the spectrum!

We're blessed to have had this little lady in our lives for two years. Here's to—what we hope—is the antithesis of "terrible twos" since so far, it's been pretty wonderful.
