Hi all,
Here's where we are at:
- Billy Rubens is down to 12.5! We have more blood work to confirm that he numbers wilnot rebound too high, but this is a great sign. He has been removed from the light box to see what these numbers do naturally on their own.

- For a while today they were worried about renal failure or damage. Within the last 2 hours we've had an ultrasound, had it read and interpreted by the most amazing pediatric renal specialist around! The ultrasound coupled with the lab work he ordered at lunchtime indicate with 90% certainty that Ryan was dehydrated from my milk not coming in fast enough and then when put under the lights for the Billy Rubens, he was massively dehydrated. No damage has been done and he well on his way to regular wet diapers.

- That's it for now. We have more blood work ahead, but Max and I feel confident things are going to be ok. We'll be here for the next day for sure, but I bet they'll let us leave by tomorrow night!

- Thanks to all of you for prayers and well wishes. Once again, they proved effective!

Love to you all,
Court, Max and Ryan!

Hey Care Bear.

You know Nick and I as well as the rest of the family are praying for Ryan. It sounds like things are getting better. Thanks for keeping us all informed and we look forward to you coming back to work with a lot of pictures.

Hi Guys!

First - Congratulations on the birth of beautiful baby boy Ryan - he is just too cute (and looks just like his dad at that age!)

I am so sorry that you have had to deal with the last few days. It is not uncommon for babies of breastfeeding mom's to get dehydrated (causing fever and high bilirubin counts). Although not uncommon - it is still very terrifying for mom and dad! Again - I'm so sorry that you have had to go through this.

Ryan's quick response to the lights and hydration are excellent signs. Keep us posted as to how he does off the lights.

He comes from excellent stock! I'm certain that he will rally and be home with you both for a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

You are all in our thoughts - we love you,
Aunt Vicki and Skip
