23 Months

We're a week away from Little Ms turning two and I am behind on the blog. It's been an eventful month+ for us. Work has gone crazy and we've celebrated many milestones. Here are some of the highlights. Enjoy our good stuff!

Love Court, Max, Ryan and Elise

T-ball: In the shortest season in history (one month of practice and one month of playing) Ryan played on his first organized sports team. And he was GREAT at it! Wolverine ball was a perfect introduction to the game. Our favorite moments were listening to him coach others from the field, "Corey, put a little spin on it....You've got it...Look alive." Coaching is in his blood!

Dad coached Team Little Sack (aka the Fighting Leprechauns.)

Check out his intensity!

Ryan was the largest kid in the league, pictured with the smallest girl on his team. It was ridiculous. And Ryan sliding...as he did to most bases.

Elise may have a future on the team! Daddy did play college baseball :)

Start of Summer Celebration: Rockford starts things off right with our annual festival (one of 10 I think!) Ryan was brave and rode more rides than ever. Poor Max was along for the adventures..his stomach will never be the same!

Ryan and his buddy from school, Rogan, waiting in line together and acting goofy.

I still can't believe I was ok with him doing this. It flew 80 feet in the air and whipped in circles.

Even after all that big boy excitement, he was still excited to cuddle a new stuffy that Max won him!

This was about the biggest ride Elise took all weekend. She screamed through fireworks and wasn't a huge fan of the parade...but this was just her size.

Parade bound.

We had a mattress pick up after the parade and realized Ryan had drawn the truck, crest and all!

Round two on the rides. This thing flew up high and then would suddenly drop. No way!

Father's Day: Max and my Dad took Ryan to hit at the range for the first time at Egypt Valley. Then the kids, my mom and I headed to the pool. It was a really meaningful way for Max to spend his day.

Pre-K Graduation: Ryan's class surprised us all with their rendition of "Roar" which was beyond cute. He was very excited to show off their t-shirts that featured each child's self-portrait. Kindergarten here he comes!

Again, the tallest.

Accepting his diploma.

Ryan and his teachers: Ms. Katie and Ms. Desiree

Grand Rapids Art Festival: We're blessed with a huge art community here in the Grand Rapids area and this event is the largest volunteer festival in the US. Every year we make sure to get out there for at least a day and to support Northview's Elephant Ear booth. Yum! (Max has to do set up every year as a football fundraiser.)

Like, I said, Ryan was VERY excited for his self-portrait shirt. I promise, we washed it.

Love her shirt...very profound...our little Picasso.

Ryan drawing a picture of Elise, including her hat and shooting star on her cheek.

Trip to the Zoo: We finally got a family Friday together and headed to the zoo this past weekend. It's the most active we've ever seen the animals. And this year Elise totally got it!

Loving the Chimps!

Reminds me just how big one is and how little the other is.

Checking out the new Tiger exhibit. They're proud zoo members!

I love how he completes the sentence "And the boy was happy."

She has hair and it's almost curling in three spots.

I remember when we has too little to climb up and sit IN the cars,
let alone jump off the tops of them! (Yes, we are THOSE parents that let our kid do this.)

Ryan even got to pet the wallaby.

Some randoms:

Elise and Cali bonding.

Ryan riding his new big boy bike since he's even bigger since the last one we bought
(the morning I went into labor with Elise!)

Our new garden just planted! (You should see it now. The tomatoes are over the top rail!)
