6 Years, 2 Months and Some Arctic Air

Thursday, March 5, 2015

The days are getting longer but the temperature is not rising. Believe it or not, we're not phased by it anymore. In fact, we're embracing it!

On the days I am home, Ryan has the privilege of walking to the bus stop with the big kids. (Actually his main objective is to be to the stop first so he can reign supreme and always have dibbs of sitting with Tom, but that's another childhood drama...) Generally, I'm standing on the front porch, bundled up with coffee in hand watching until the bus comes while Elise either sleeps in or plays peek-a-boo with me in the front windows.  Lately, it's been so cold that he wears his full on face mask.

But since the sun was shining—which in Michigan, can make a -2º day melt into a balmy 28º—I took the the opportunity to capture Ry waiting for the neighborhood girls to pick him up. Here's my kindergartener–training-to-be-a-first-grader self, on an ordinary morning, with extraordinary light!

Enjoy!
