Ithaca Vacation

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Sad to say, but we're so behind in keeping up, that I'm three weeks late to share our Ithaca photos with everyone. We spent a week over the 4th of July back in Max's hometown, Ithaca. Our cottage was up in King Ferry, about 25 minutes north east of the city. The weather was a bit rough but all in all we had a great time! Check em'!

On our way to Ithaca we "swung by" my cousin's wedding at the Detroit Yacht Club. We hadn't seen each other in nearly 11 years. It was an emotional and beautiful day!

The kids and I at their first wedding.

The next adventure was the boarder check. Elise was at an age that she was almost two aware (compared to taking Ryan at 8 months before), so she had a bit of a difficult time. All in all, we were VERY grateful for the new Acadia since I could climb in back...and even nurse while she was still strapped in. Don't ask.

Ryan quickly made "friends" with Leppy...a stuffed creature that in hindsight probably should have been fumigated.

On a rainy day we headed to the Ithaca Science Center and had a great time.

Ryan and Max were treated to a jet ski ride by Nutsy...an old friend who happened to have a cottage just down from ours.

Ryan and Uncle B on the front steps of his new home!

Elise got to meet her first cousins for the first time. Here are the kids with Jackson and Carter.

After days of trying, the day before we left Ryan caught his first fish (with a lot of help from Daddy.)

One of our projects on the trip was to fashion a boat for Ryan to play with.

The annual "boys" photo proves just how grown up Ryan has become!

An unusual rainbow in the clouds as we left t head back home wrapped up a great week for us!
